About me

Supra Tourism

Supra Tourism is a founder-led hospitality development and operating company based in Sri Lanka.

The company focuses on the acquisition, development and operation of hospitality assets, combining international management experience with local execution and long-term commitment.

Supra Tourism was not created as an advisory concept, but as a practical operating platform — built from direct experience in realizing and running hospitality projects on the ground.

Founder & Managing Director
Frank Schedler

Supra Tourism is founded and led by Frank Schedler, entrepreneur and hospitality professional with extensive international experience in hotel operations, digital transformation and large-scale hospitality environments.

Before establishing Supra Tourism, Frank spent more than a decade with the Accor Group, one of the world’s leading hospitality companies. During this time, he held several senior leadership positions across Central Europe, including:

  • Vice President IT & Digitalisation Central Europe
  • Director IT Central Europe
  • IT Manager Germany & Austria

In these roles, he was responsible for the stability and development of IT infrastructures across large hotel portfolios and led regional digital transformation initiatives. His work combined operational reliability with strategic modernization, supporting hotel operations at scale and across multiple markets.

From Corporate Leadership to Entrepreneurship

After many years in international corporate leadership, Frank deliberately transitioned from management roles within global structures into entrepreneurship.

With Supra Tourism, he took on full responsibility — operational, financial and personal — to realize a hospitality project in Sri Lanka as a foreign entrepreneur. This process included property evaluation, regulatory procedures, design and development oversight, team building and daily hotel operations.

This shift from corporate structures to direct execution forms the foundation of Supra Tourism’s working philosophy today.

Reference Project – Bombay Bicycle Club Hotel

The Bombay Bicycle Club Hotel represents Supra Tourism’s first operational project and serves as a tangible reference for the company’s capabilities.

From acquisition and development to ongoing operations and guest experience, the project reflects Supra Tourism’s hands-on, operator-driven approach. It continues to shape how the company evaluates opportunities and structures future hospitality projects.

Operational Mindset & Additional Experience

In addition to his corporate background at Accor, Frank Schedler held a senior product and hospitality leadership role at m3connect GmbH, a technology company specializing in digital infrastructure solutions for the hospitality industry.

In this context, he worked at the intersection of hotel operations, connectivity, guest experience and large-scale hospitality environments — further strengthening his understanding of how technology, operations and guest expectations interact in real-world hotel settings.

How Supra Tourism Works

Supra Tourism approaches hospitality projects with a clear and pragmatic mindset:

  • hands-on involvement instead of remote management

  • realistic project structures over theoretical models

  • flexibility in ownership and contract models

  • long-term operational viability as the primary goal

Each project is assessed individually and structured according to location, ownership situation and operational requirements.

Focus & Scope

Supra Tourism operates exclusively in Sri Lanka.

The company is open to a wide range of hospitality project structures, including:

  • acquisition or lease of land and properties

  • renovation and new hospitality developments

  • owner-operated hotels

  • management contracts for third-party owners

All engagements are guided by operational responsibility, transparency and sustainable outcomes.

Closing Statement

Supra Tourism represents a bridge between international hospitality expertise and local execution — built on experience, accountability and long-term commitment.
